Stillwell House and Gardens Classic Wedding

I first met Matthew at Kief-Joshua Vineyards in Sonoita, AZ. He was planning an epic proposal for his girlfriend Rachel and wanted me to be there to capture it. He had planned everything (with the help of Rachel’s sisters and friends) and even had purchased an adorable bench with a sign on it for her to stumble upon during her tour of Sonoita’s vineyards. When the tears started pouring after he saw Rachel while he was holding their sweet son George I knew this was a man with a heart of gold.

I was so excited when they contacted me to photograph their classic, but elegant wedding. Rachel has impeccable style and was putting together the wedding of a lifetime. And for them this is it! After spending time emailing and talking with them I could see how committed they are to making this marriage their one and only. They even chose Rachel’s grandparents to sign as their witnesses since they have been married longer than any other couple they know!

Our day started at the Westward look where they had HVH on deck with hair and makeup. You can see what a gorgeous job they did on all the girls! Rachel had monogrammed matching tops for her bridal party and they whipped out the Dom Perignon to help celebrate! There’s going to be a major overload of detail pictures because there were so many incredible ones!

Rachel purchased her dress from the fabulous JBridal boutique in Tucson. She had this custom flower girl gown made to match her dress perfectly.

We did some quick custom bridal shots at the hotel. I love doing this before we leave to get a quiet, elegant and soft look to the bridal portraits. These are timelessly elegant.

After we left the Westward Look we headed straight over to the Stillwell House. Alexis Grace created some of the most elegant floral bouquets and centerpieces I have ever seen. Rachel had a custom floral garland designed for the front of the ceremony site at the Stillwell House.

Next we headed into the ceremony. Rachel had hired a quartet to play and they were perfect!

Next we headed out for some incredible portraits around town. We even made it into the Rubi to capture some of the stunning sunset light.

Next we headed into the reception. Crumbs Cake boutique created the cake and it was one of the best wedding cakes I have ever had a wedding before! She had all of the place cards and directions done with custom calligraphy.

Thank you so much Rachel & Matthew for including in your incredible wedding day!
